Web Standards
Creating Web sites by using web standards is the best practice to get more accessibility , usability and compatibility .
Languages often used as web standards are CSS ( Cascading Style Sheet) or XHTML....
What a surprise to see websites totally irrealistic in terms of accessibility.
Internet is all about being seen , found and read.
Plugins used inefficiently or without purpose can have a reversed effect than what was initially planned or wanted.
Web Developers should reconsider using Flash for example in certain situations and focus their minds on simplicity.
I will never say : "don't use Flash" but I will advise : " Use Flash for good and specific purposes".
This advice is also good for other type of plugins.
Using Web Standards will not only improve accessibility to users but also to search engines.
Robots and crawlers will also read your web site contents in order to index your pages in their database.
Web Standards are another way to improve SEO ( Search Engine Optimization) on your web sites.
Web Standards , wisely used can give amazing design effects and a consistent layout by using CSS.
The result is clean and professional.
The development process may be a little bit longer for those who are not familiar with Web Standards but the final result and clients' satisfaction will be your reward.
Web Standards is an amazing butterfly effect.
