Since Google Sitemap beta was launched , i decided to look further into this new XML based technology , helping Google to improve their results accurency and quality.
Is sitemap the future of search engines ?
Sitemap is probably the way which major search engines will take as it's a very simple and accurate technic to get deeper in to your Websites URL than crawling with a classic method .
Sitemap is an XML File showing Google the way to follow into your websites navigation structure.
Basically you can specify any path you want people to be leaded to and to be included in Google search results .
After 2 years of test on one of my E-CMS , I understood how powerful Google SiteMap can be and I noticed huge improvements on Ranking and results quality.
Google SiteMap is opening a new way of developping websites and will influence our web development .
The only condition to use Google Sitemap today is the necessity to create a free Google account to manage your Sitemap URLS and after activation by using a simple HTML file gain access to interesting statistics.
You can had has many URL and websites as you want and can use this account for your clients website.
In conjonction with Google SiteMap , you should use :
1-a robots.txt file.
2-Rewrite rules.

How to implement Google sitemap on my website ?
You have two ways to implement google sitemap :
The first way is to right the xml file yourself which is not really effective.
The second way which is part of my E-CMS today is to use a server side script to generate your XML file automatically , the advantage is that you don't have to touch your XML File and your script will memorize all linked clicked by your visitors.
I'm personally using PHP and MYSQL , you can find free PHP Scripts online generating sitemap.xml files.
